David Haddock lives in York with his wife and their cat – Luna. Despite the lifetime of creativity behind him, and a desire to achieve something either through writing books, music or through other creative crafts, David’s worst enemy has always been himself and that dreaded word – procrastination.

Despite that awful ‘p’ word, he has managed to take part in a varied number of creative endeavors, from acting to being in a band, chairman of a football club to writing and taking photographs for the media. But despite all of these efforts, his proudest moment came in 2012 at the release of his first children’s picture book, ‘The monster who liked to eat toes!’

Going on to be sold and downloaded over two thousand times, the ‘monster’ book was a great success, and a sequel soon followed.

Since then, David has chipped away at various creative pursuits but ultimately his journey has taken him back to his early love – writing.

Having overcome releasing that difficult second book, he has now teamed up with friend Lexie Kimball to bring the world the story of the full gull, once again in stunning full colour as a children’s picture book.
